Bridget Cunningham

Bridget studied the harpsichord, organ and conducting at Southampton University and the Royal College of Music where she is a Junior Fellow. She also performs, researches and coaches singers there regularly on baroque style. Last year she won a travel scholarship from the Finzi Trust to research and perform early music of Handel's time in Ireland. Her performing experience includes working as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, repetiteur and vocal coach. She has worked with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, English Touring Opera, Ulster Orchestra, Opera Theatre Company, Irish Chamber Orchestra and the Oxford Girls Choir. She plays regularly at the Handel House Museum and is Assistant Organist at St Patrick's Church Soho, and has played as Deputy Organist at the Brompton Oratory. Research and performances have been featured on BBC Radio 3 and 4, including Woman's Hour, Front Row, Night Watch, In Tune and Go 4 It. She also performs and gives lecture recitals at the National Gallery and other venues. She has recorded two BBC documentaries on Vivaldi with the OAE and the Schola Pieta Antonio Vivaldi in Venice and the virginal music for the BBC 1 series 'Elizabeth, the Virgin Queen'.
