Eleanor Harrison

Eleanor Harrison completed her postgraduate diploma in Historical Performance with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music in 2006, where she studied baroque and classical violin with Nicolette Moonen and Simon Standage. She was given many opportunities as leader and soloist with both the Royal Academy of Music Baroque Orchestra and Becket Ensemble under such distinguished directors as William Christie, Laurence Cummings and Monica Huggett.

As an active chamber musician Eleanor is a member of many ensembles, with whom she has performed on Radio 3 and at festivals throughout the UK and Europe. Eleanor was twice awarded the Friends Prize for chamber music at the Royal Academy of Music, where she currently holds a Leverhulme Fellowship with her ensemble 'Four Temperaments'.

Eleanor has played with many period instrument orchestras across the UK such as Collegium Musicum 90, Ex Cathedra, Florilegium, Gabrieli Consort & Players, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, English Touring Opera and the Wallfisch Band.
