Local attractions include...- The Southern Upland Way passes through the grounds of Thirlestane Castle. It runs from Portpatrick in the West to Cockburnspath in the East.
- Lauder Golf Club runs a 9-hole golf course on common land on the edge of Lauder.
- Set in woodland off the A68 near Ancrum, Harestanes Countryside Vistors Centre has the largest childrens play park in the Borders
